@chochi70 I had a similar thing happen to me on the PCH. I had just passed Cambria, CA and there was a sign that said "34 miles ahead PCH closed". Turns out the earthquake in Japan had caused a mini Tsunami to cross the Pacific and crash into the Coast Highway. I though I'd take the detour just before the closure. Then I realized there were few roads going East. I had to backtrack 80 miles and got to Monterey at about 11:30PM. About 2 hours in the dark with Calif drivers. UGH!

Sorry for not responding to your's and others comments while on the road. I was constantly on the move and didn't have much time. Uploading videos was a major undertaking! I'm still behind but working on the Rockies video I did a teaser of. Glad you liked the scenery!
