Before going through the pass, I was at an overlook taking some video and
found '808' written on a rock and speculate if a fellow vlogger had been here.

The Donner Pass is a 'notch' in the Sierra-Nevada mountains above Donner Lake which allows passage from Nevada into Calif. In 1846, the Donner party was caught on the Eastern side of the pass and was forced to spend the winter there. Of 81 people in the party, 45 survived and there were rumors of cannibalism.

Beautiful scenery while riding or standing!

  • Awesome riding and really spectacular scenery. It sure looks cold there. Thanks for sharing those views. Best wishes mate.

  • @TKTex1 Thanks! For and Easterner, being up in mountains that were almost 2 mikes high was awesome!

Sorry for not responding to your's and others comments while on the road. I was constantly on the move and didn't have much time. Uploading videos was a major undertaking! I'm still behind but working on the Rockies video I did a teaser of. Glad you liked the scenery!

  • Nice ;>)

  • @navythomas8 Thanks bro.

  • @L0udP1p35 Yeah. Beautiful scenery to be riding in. I hope the trucker was okay.

  • @chochi70 I had a similar thing happen to me on the PCH. I had just passed Cambria, CA and there was a sign that said "34 miles ahead PCH closed". Turns out the earthquake in Japan had caused a mini Tsunami to cross the Pacific and crash into the Coast Highway. I though I'd take the detour just before the closure. Then I realized there were few roads going East. I had to backtrack 80 miles and got to Monterey at about 11:30PM. About 2 hours in the dark with Calif drivers. UGH!

  • @KeukaRyder I was trying to get to Reno in daylight but failed by about 50 miles hehe
