Rx-8 chasing Subaru modded WRX

Rockingham Raceway SCCA PDX Sept 2008. Not sure if its an STi It was debadged, plenty of power though.

The RX-8 is stock and its power is no match for the Subaru. I'm guessing the RX-8 does have an innate handling edge, but this probably came down to driving experience.

It's an ordinary modded one WRX STi has spoilers

I've been told its a HEAVILY modded WRX and nicknamed the STwhy. Whatever, its has LOTS of power.

it is not STI it is just WRX ... still it is more powerfull than the rx8

From looking at the tail lights it is an 02-03 wrx. The USDM STi was not available until the 04 model year, which changed the tail light a little. Both wrx and Sti come with spoilers, just different sizes, obviously this one has been made wingless. That RX-8 caught and passed it fairly easily, what all is done to it?

Nah all it has is a downpipe and exhaust. Around the speed of a stock STi lol
