Students from the University of Maryland School of Nursing, University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and Salisbury University Respiratory Therapy Program at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) participated in USG's first Interprofessional Critical Care Simulation on Friday, April 1. Students from these three healthcare disciplines showcased team-based decision making in patient care as they simulated care of a motorcycle accident victim who experiences critical distress following surgery to repair his injuries.

WONDERFUL WORK. PCAs are VERY VERY dangerous. I mean, sure you set your dose and rate, and lockout time, BUT THE PATIENT is controling it. You NEVER know when a malfunction could cause him/her to get more than what was set when he pressed his button.
