Late this past summer the NYC Zeitgeist chapter had their first Town Hall at Central Park. Vance and Abdoulaye talk about the common misconception that human nature will not allow for a greed-less and egalitarianism society. A frequent criticism against a resource based economy. This is the second video of a series from this event that will be posted periodically.

  • I am a 61 yr old man and I've been to a couple of rodeos and county fairs in my time and I continue to be amazed at how such perceptive wisdom comes out of such young fellows like I see here. How does that happen, exactly? The stuff they're saying are ideas I simply did not "get" until I was well into my fifties. Onward young dudes. Please continue.

  • Thanks for your dedication. Very good stuff. This (education) and dialogue is what the movement really needs - especially since Occupy Wallstreet and the like.

  • @50tbug It's the interwebs! It makes us smarter faster (if we use it to communicate, learn, etc. and not watch reruns of Family Guy on Hulu... not that I do that. It was just an example. Ok I do, but I learn stuff too! =)

  • @AnotherLivingYou It's Mindless Self Indulgence - Straight to

I wrote peter also asking him to take a stand on this, maybe most important, point. Joe Rogan made that point up in his show with peter but when he answered him he couldn't finish because he skipped to another topic.

    Awsome talk!

  • In my opinion, there is no "gene" for violence because violence is an "emotion" and emotions are "thoughts." While physical sensitivity can be genetic, the act of violence is emotional which is based upon how a person "thinks" ABOUT things.

You are correct in that violence is evolved by the specific environment in which a specific person grew up and/or lives in.

The Zeitgeist Movement is a GREAT idea! :o)

Please see the video response about Jacque Fresco explaining Spiral Dynamics Integral.

  • Great little chat. It's amazing how easily we have accepted the notion that it's our own 'human nature' that makes it impossible to create a better world.

  • whats the sound track called thats playing?

  • great work guys. thank you, and thx for uploading. excellent!

  • The most difficult thing (and most important) is that money isn't real. It's just a human abstraction.

  • I wanna join you!
