  • It was a simple battle in Heaven between Hera a pre olympian Mother Goddess of the early aegean civilization.who had married Zeus against her will. Her religon pre dates Zeus by 1000 years. Their mythological arguments reflected the conflict of early patriarchal and matriarchal cults. She was also called Hebe, Hekate,Heira,Eura,Eriu. Her cult spread all over europe were she was worshiped under different names.

  • @raynanlagasc Fun fact Nro 2: Nobody cares... the gods didn't care about your commandments...

  • Don't forget that the classical world was patriachal. Therefore Hera represents the patriachal view of marriage: Marriage is a b**** and Hera is the same way.

You have to give her some credit: she certainly didn't take her husband's cheating lying down (although I certainly don't condone many of her methods).

  • Hera was known for her jealous and vengeful nature, most notably against Zeus's lovers and offspring, but also against mortals who crossed her, such as Pelias. Paris offended her by choosing Aphrodite as the most beautiful goddess, earning Hera's hatred.
