Here's a short boss guide:

Terra doesn't really have a whole lot of options against this guy. Ventus has Tornado, which is awesome, and Aqua has a high Magic stat and Seeker Mine. All of Terra's strong physical moves are too lengthy or aren't useful here, so he has to rely on keyblade attacks and finishers. I had a much harder time with him as Terra than I did with Ventus, but I was finally able to beat him using my Mine strategy from the Ventus vs Mysterious Figure video here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjsViiF1Uh8

Basically, I just lay mines, get Vanitas to run into them and fill up my Commands Bar. It's a lot more difficult with Vanitas than it was with MF, but I got lucky here and pulled it off.
Terra is slow and his slide ability is vastly inferior to Ventus's Dodge Roll for avoiding attacks. This makes it extremely difficult to avoid Vanitas's attack where he summons a dark orb and send 7 shades out to attack you. I was able to avoid this by using a shotlock as he started the attack instead of dodging most of the time.
In order to win as Terra, you have to be aggressive, take some chances, and really learn how to deal with Vanitas's moves. if you're used to fighting him with Ventus or Aqua, you'll have to relearn your strategy completely.
I carried a lot of potions, but I think a maxed Zero Graviga might help with the Commands Bar without forcing you into a Command Style you don't want.

Overall, very very hard boss as Terra, but hang in there and maybe you'll get lucky.

This was played on my God of War edition PSP2000.
