why did it sound so quiet in 4th gear compared to the rest, i assume it either has a dog box or helicat gears? or was it only helical gears for the lower gears???

it's a PPG straight cut dogbox all gears, but 4th gear is 1 : 1 ratio so it's straight through the transmission therefore silent .
