  • anyone who says this guy took roids and doesnt realise the fact that 20 years ago everyone was on steroids is retarded. You hounestly think someone as short and stocky as Timmermann would have thrown 23+ with a glide 100% "clean"? I would also bet a lot of money Udo Beyer and Werner Gunthor would have also taken them. Notice how 20-25 years laster, with improved training and knwoledge AND DRUG TESTS we haven't come close to taking the shot/disc records?

  • @TheBruiser012 Timmermann wasn't "short and stocky" he was 6"4 and 260lbs and its not fair to assume he did take steriods when he never failed a drugs test, Barnes failed several. Theres no proof to back up your claim that Timmerman took steriods, putting the shot 23+ with a glide is not proof.

  • @geofflbradley then why do powerlifters juice?

  • @geofflbradley Also, gluconeogensis and glycogenolysis are two important metabolic processes with regards to converting energy out of substrate besides carbs, and the generation of ATP by processing lactate in the liver. *Increased T-rone with proper explosive training allows intermediate muscle fibers to be converted to Type2x (aka FAST twitch) which are responsble for power, explosion, and strength

  • @geofflbradley Well, satelite cells, are within muscle tissue and have more nuclei that account for protein synthesis and contribute to muscle fiber TYPE/conversion, the more you satelite cells you have/recruit the more you increase protein synthesis, increasing hypertrophy of the muscle and eventually strength. Increased Testosterone does have an effect on the metabolic rate of ATP, for the fact that you are simply recruiting more muscle fibers, *not creating. Creatine makes ATP last longer

  • ie 3 reps @ 225 bench w/o roids

    8 rep @ 225 w/ bench w/ roids

steroids doesnt make you stronger it makes ATP last longer allowing you to do more reps therefore allowing you to get stronger (i think lol)

im sure many of you know this but consider it a random PSA lol don't take this as me showing off my knowledge of lack there of i jus wanted to put that out and see if im right and how ppl take it

  • hey here's why roids works (i think lol) they allow your ATP to break a lil slower than it normally would if you weren't taking them therefore you are able to do more reps then you normally would. ATP (free eneregy, energy expended without you getting tired) lasts 4-6 seconds (6 if you are an excellent athlete) then it breaks down and you go into oxygen debt or you start to get tired...steroids allows more time to work before you hit oxygen debt

  • @Tj5923 hmm, sounds like a good idea, i might just go for it, thanks bro :)
