I have the feeling my sister will be a helicopter parent with my niece, she was even controlling with me, a grown woman, when I loved with her. She would insist, or should I say demand, that she drives me to places, tried to control my jobhunting, like what jobs I should apply, everything, it was crazy, and I see her starting with my niece, it's so sad.

well i have a helicopter parent who cant just stop bugging me. Even now i am a graduate looking for a job they just bug me which is the right job or the wrong job. Id wish i had less parenting and more freedom.

Sadly, this is really one reason why the American public is so easily misled, whether it's by Wall Street, corporations, our political leaders, etc. They''ve been infantilized to such an extent that they trust the powers that be and authority figures to do everything right, or for for them. Now they're just a generation of overgrown kids playing with handheld devices.

This is the worst thing that a parent can do for their children. If I was in a position to hire someone, I wouldn't hire a graduate with parents that did all their dirty work for them.
