how did you get this footage? it looks like your just using a personal handheld videocamera. its amazing footage...do you know players or just one lucky person to get in the locker room?

I got lucky.......I bought a box of old video tapes at a flea market and this footage was on one of them.

A tarnished cup.......skate in the crease! Buffalo got robbed! They even changed the rule the next year to cover up the huge mistake by the NHL.

In the end what does it really matter? We could go back and forth all day about whether or not it was a goal.

Even if the goal had been wiped out we likely wouldn't have won game 7 in dallas. Even though the sabres put up a good fight the stars were the better team.

@DWareFTW, no truer words ever typed on Y.T! What 'could' have bee, 'should' have been and 'may' have been, was done along time ago! In the post Modano era, there is a new expectation, I wanna see some results!

Take a close look at those hats that the Stars are wearing. It is a simple patch that could be affixed, no matter who the winner! I had one, My Stars logo fell off after about a year, just in time to see the cup switch hands to Martin and Co. Just thought I'd throw that note-worthy observation in there, guess Bettman's leauge was broke back then as well,lol!

i've said this b4 in another vid. even if that brett hull goal was called off, the sabres still needed to score a goal to win that game. and aafter that, they would have had to win another game...in dallas. and proof that these guys deserved it, in my opinion, look at where this team went the next season: the stanley cup final. so whether or not you think that goal should count, i stand by that dallas was certainly the better team.

that's what's sad about the entire thing. Buffalo fans act like it was a given that they would've won if that goal was disallowed. How do they know they would've won a game 7 in Dallas or scored later that night. Offensively the Stars were ridiculously more talented than the Sabres, and we had a goalie that was playing just as hot as theirs at that point.

Sure, the goal may be disputed but what is not disputed is the fact that the Dallas Stars are the 1999 Stanley Cup Champions.
