I've toyed with selling mine over the years. Kinda heavy, no channel switching , verb, trem or anything...BUT what it does it does well and the amp records like nobody 's beeswax. Had mine for nearly 30 years. The clean channel is really overlooked and it even makes an OK bass amp for quiet gigs. Built like a tank

@UTubist512 try a tube amp and a boost pedal.

@musson13 The advantage that the Line 6 has over the my Marshall combo: one can use the pedal to switch between lead and rhythm volumes the value of which is not to be underestimated. I haven't found a distortion/gain pedal that gives me such flexibility. When I do, I doubt I'll be using the Line 6 nearly as much because you are correct (though obnoxiously stated) that there is no comparison between the sweet tone and chest thumping crunch of my Marshall combo and any Line 6 ever made.

@UTubist512 mentioning a marshall valve combo and line six in the same breath. you must be menatally disturbed!!! One is a really nice piece of history and sounds absolutely great, the other is lightweight over synthesized shite. witness the amount of line six amps on second hand sites selling for pence. nuff said.
