A simple binary counter circuit I built in engineering class for extra credit. The LEDs count form 0 to 15 in binary and the LCD display from 0 to 9

  • @Anadiocha - what do you mean? you gotta back your shit up son

  • what are the ICs used?

  • oh boy, i dont really remember, i built this freshman year of college (junior now). I do know that the counter logic is built with flip-flops, and it is a four bit counter. The output from that is shown on the four LEDs. that is then fed into a chip, which i forget, to convert that to display in decimal on the LED display.

  • If your seven segment display is a common cathode, then the decoder IC should be a 74LS47.

If you can remember, were the flip-flops negative or positive edge-trigered?
