Daniel/Vala - The Mess I Made (feat Tomin)

Back to my first vidding love - Daniel/Vala. One of the things I was disappointed with in S10 of SG-1 is that Daniel never really showed any sort of interest or jealousy in regards to the Vala/Tomin relationship. So I set about to fix that and came up with the idea of having Daniel present at the big milestones of Tomin/Vala's relationship. Though you could qualify this as a triangle video, it's really more of a look into all of the regret Daniel has over missed opportunities.

Fantastic. Seriously one of if not THE best Vala/Daniel vid I've seen. You capture the mood perfectly, your clips work so so so well with the song, and I just love your editing. Wonderful colour, and use of tone, I was glued to the screen, I just love it. You really had me believing that Daniel was there, and saw it all, and that this actually happened. Though I think the reason Daniel never seemed jealous about the Vala/Tomin thing was because a) Daniel never really saw Vala's interest in him as anything other than a joke anyway and didn't realize how he felt for her, and b) Vala never seemed interested in Tomin, anyway. Yes, she thought he was nice and wanted to save him, but every time she acted romantically toward him it was to preserve some cover story or other. So there was nothing to worry about anyway.

As for Daniel and Vala... Man, she really pushed his buttons, didn't she? :D It almost bugged me how cold and indifferent he could be to her at times. He was such a mean bastard to her in that scene in "Unending", right before he kissed her. :D Irony is, despite his best efforts to analyse her, he never quite got her.

Gosh, Claudia and Michael make such an amazing duo! <3
