@dani4wd grains needed about 6-7 kilos/ 13.whatever pounds. check out some of the videos particularly tlgrimmy's Malting Barley at Home for making the necessary barley grains. the internet contains temps and times for different chrystals and ales

Wait, hold on, you switched the mash tun when the camera angle changed. The mash tun you showed with the holes drilled in the bottom is different than the one you used in the rest of the vid.

i love the blanket wrap idea, i thought i was crazy using it on my wort bucket during fermentation. would u suggest using a brewers heat pad to hold that ideal mash temp? also- can i borrow miles to help me with mine ;)
Well spotted!....i can't really remember exactly why we changed over. May have suddenly needed the outer one for honey storage. Luckily the principle remains the same and the porter was great
