Me drumming over this great song from Bruce Sprinsteen : No Surrender! I did not tried to play exactly what the drummer is doing, I just wanted to film what I do, because I always play anything on this one ^^ just to have fun. So you can hear sometimes my drumming not exactly fitting the drums part of the song. My favorite song from the "Born in the USA" album!
I did change the position of the sm57 snare mic, the sound is better than on "Pride 2nd attempt", a little clearer.
and yeah, the tempo is not perfect, I'm not a professionnal drummer, sorry.

  • Your Snare is awesome , what make and model is it?

  • intothebath : this is a pearl ultracast snare drum 14*5, very dry and powerfull sound, but still warmer than metal (it's in aluminium), perfect for rock and metal :) I love this snare!

  • How do you get the music to your headphones and to play so others can hear it, or am I missing something.

I haven't long been playing and find it hard to play without headphone. But I would like other to hear what I am playing along with.

  • I have cubase, I put the song on it, and record over it. I plug the earphones in the sound card (the firepod presonus) so I hear the track that I put on cubase. When the recording is done I can edit my drums to make it sounds good, it's already synchronized with the orginal music (or at least I now do that, on my first videos I played over winamp, and then mixed the original music with my recorded drums...a lot more difficult! :p )

  • awesome cover i could never do that could you tell me where you got the hi-hat from plz???

  • cheeseman2707 : the hi hat? it's a paiste sound formula heavy 14" (kind of old signature), I bought it few month ago on ebay germany I believe, great HH, but I sold it few month ago for a signature heavy 13" !

  • 3/17/11-Happy St. Patty's day. I am new to drumming, but not to a great Bruce song.Hope you can do more covers and post them in the future, because you are inspirational.-joe

  • You should try playing the whole song through with no fills first to get the feel of the tempo. Then gradually start adding fills. The problem seems to be your'ere getting lost coming out of fills. Keep practicing, practicing and practicing.

  • Great drum cover....10/10

  • No matter if you're not a professional, I think that the important thing is that you like music and you're expressing your fellings through the drumming...

I like Bruce too... the beats on his songs are simple but is a marcable style...

    I'm from Brasil... You're a pretty girl

  • needs work

  • severe timing issues

  • Pretty Good. Jay better look out

  • I love the set-up and the sound of your kit (especially your snare), but the fills are a little sloppy and your tempo shifts a little coming in and out of the fill breaks. Please don't take it the wrong way, I have been playing for 30 years so I'm just trying to offer up a little constructive advice. You are really good, Max is one of my favorite drummers!

  • Amazingly good, great song, and great cover! By the way, I will attend a Boss concert in May :)))
