Chapter 6

Want something to drink? Clark asked Chloe. Sure. Just then the phone rang. Clark answered. Clark, its Lois. I just saw James. He was with Lana and then they left. Hold on, Ill be right there. Clark hung up. Whats going on? Chloe asked perplexed. Its Lana. She left with James. I need to find them, before Lana gets hurt. Clark said in a hurry as he grabbed his jacket and keys. Can I come? Chloe asked. No, hes dangerous Chloe. Stay here okay? Chloe nodded. Clark then left leaving Chloe with Shelby. Chloe got up and locked the door. So much for prom Chloe said aloud. Shelby responded by coming to her. She patted his head. What Chloe didnt know was that Clark heard everything.

Lois? Clark called. He had finally arrived at the high school. By feet, obviously. Over here Smallville! Lois shouted over the entire racket. Clark made his way to where she was standing. Do you have any idea where they went? Clark asked, worried. No. I saw them, looked for you, and then the next thing I knew, they were gone. Lois replied. Thanks. Clark said sarcastically. Im placing a bet that James is taking Lana to where he took Chloe. Lois said. Maybe. Ill go check. You stay here incase Lana shows up. Clark said. Yeah. Lois said.

It was going so well. Oh who am I kidding, Im talking to a dog. Chloe said. Shelby whined. No offense. She got up from the couch and got a cup from the cupboards and got some water from the tap. She gulped it down. All of a sudden she heard the floor creak. She turned around. It was James. JAMES! Chloe screeched. Shut it. James said calmly. He then took a gun out of his pocket and pointed it to her head. He grabbed her by the arm and took her outside, then to his beat up Pontiac. He shoved her in. He got in as well. He then started the engine and drove off into the night. All was left was the dust from the road.

Clark arrived at the warehouse. He busted the door open. He found Lana in the middle of the room, blindfolded, and crying. Lana! Clark said. He took off the blindfold. Oh, Clark. Hes going to come back. We need to get out of here. Lana said, scared. Too late. Clark turned around and found James holding a gun to Chloes head. Chloe? Clark said. Chloe started to cry. Tears were trickling down her face. James shoved Chloe to the ground. Chloe grumbled. Step away from Miss Lang, James said, pointing his gun towards Clark. Clarks put his hands up and pushed Lana to the side. What do you want James? Clark asked. Who do you truly love, Clark? You cant have them both now can you? James said. What are you talking about, Lana said. Shut up. James shouted. He was getting frustrated. Pick. James said. Clark glanced at Lana, then at Chloe. They were so scared. He looked back at James. PICK! he screamed. Okay, okay. Clark said. He went towards Chloe, helped her up and brought her near Lana. He hid them behind him. Rays of fire soon came out of his eyes and he aimed for James hand. Ow! James said, as he dropped the gun. What the hell? James said. Clark shoved James. Chloe grabbed the gun. She pointed it towards James. James got up quick and started to back up. Somebody call 911. Lana proclaimed. Already on it, Clark said dialing the number on his cell. 911? We need someone here now. Nanes Warehouse. Clark hung up.

Thank you, Clark. Officer John said. He grabbed James, handcuffed him and pushed him into the Police car. How did that creep even get out anyways? Chloe asked. Supposedly they only pressed charges. Clark said. Lets get out of here. This place gives me the creeps. Lana said. Yes, lets, Chloe added. They all got into Clarks red truck. He turned on the engine. Just then the phone rang. Clark passed his cell to Chloe. Its Lois. He said. Hey Lois. Chloe said. Where the hell are you?? I came back to the Kent house and you werent there. James kidnapped me and Lana. Chloe said. Again? Lois asked. Yeah. Its all over now. Well be back soon. Chloe reassured her. She hung up. The truck started up the bumpy road, heading back home.
