allora...i was in Italy (Apenini)...and there housewifes served a pasta con limone (limon skin!)...panne and nuts :) was deeelitious!:)

come no? contengono oli essenziali, la buccia di limone si usa anche grattugiata sulle scaloppine al limone, ossibuchi alla milanese e in tantissime ricette di dolci. ciao:-)

Lemon, lime, & orange peels are all fantastic additions to many dishes--inexpensive, too, and you can generally remove quite a lot of the peel without even using the lemon (so you double its use); my fave preparation is to heat&reduce balsamic vinegar (high quality like de medici brand), a touch of sugar, strips of lemon zest, & blueberries (I get ~10 gallons & freeze them each year); sometimes I add some cocoa. The syrup with berries unexpectedly makes the BEST topping for vanilla ice cream!
