@guitarttimman I agree, alot of people out there who are very narrow minded musically, i think probably due to a lack of musical education and understanding as much as anything, goes for all styles, some of the worst are jazz musicians for that lol! No problem, always good to find new music, now I will habe to sit down and nut out a few of your licks lol. and yes I agree with you. What makes me angry sometimes is how some people will disrespect a person, like Larry, just because they're into a different style or genre of music. You're clearly very intelligent, and I agree with your opinion. And thanks for checking out my music.

@guitarttimman I agree, I love Larry Carlton. But I think also that its pretty hard to have a "greatest" player, it's a matter of taste and is subjective, some people might say BB King, some might say Jason Becker, some Pat Metheny, some Slash even. In the end what matters I think is not whether they are number one on some list or other, but what impact thier music has on the we the listeners. Btw you have some cool stuff man, nice work!

let's get real on this. Larry Carlton has MORE hits than any of those guys. In addition to being an "expert" in jazz, he is a pioneer in virtually every other style. Rock, Blues, Soul, Pop, classical, Fusion.

And has done more studio work for other people such as Steely Dan, Foreplay, ect. than any other artist I know. I don't see Govan doing that or any of those other guys either.

Those other guys, like me, are good, but also very limited to their genres :-)

Larry is great.......THE GREATIST ?

There are some very good players out there with many styles etc ........Pat Metheny, Pat Martino, John Scofield and many more.....I like Larry alot but the greatest is a stretch.
