Saw one at a car show in Nova Scotia a few years back. It was for sale... can't remember how much but I didn't have it and wished I had.

Is it true that if you open both doors at the same time, you'll drain the battery?

Not really. The air door system that replaces the original hydraulic uses less power. The main issue with the hydraulic using power was if a switch got stuck. This could also burn up the hydraulic motor. The hydraulic system was a proven system from Mustang convertibles and was adapted for the Bricklin doors. The other issue with the hydraulic system was if the door did not unlatch it could cause damage to the doors. The air system prevents this from happening. Hydraulics do still exist.

how were you able to make 1 headlight go up individualy and then have them up, but not on?
gullwing14 2 years ago
The one up and not on is related to the vacuum system. This car does not have the canister that normally holds some vacuum. So when the vacuum from the engine starts the headlight will pop up. The lights going up individually is just in order of the vacuum hoses. So drivers side and then passenger. In some instances under acceleration the vacuum change may cause a light to pop up while driving. Really just the nature of vacuum compared to electric motors for pop up headlights.
