@rayfigs1 Hey Ray, I see this is over a year old, how did your ferrofluid project go? I'm about to start a project of my own making a ferrofluid sculpture and any gotchas or other experience you could pass on would be extremely helpful. Looks like the electromagnet didnt work very well, did you find a way to make it work better? What did you end up going with?

Get a wall unit. and u NEED a controller to do all that crazy stuff. my suggestion is pull force of 1000lb pounds. and a controller .. in total like 4-500$ for the good stuff. The neo's are good for top to bottom since there flield can range for a good 4 inchs and a electro magnet is like 1/2 inch to a inch.. GL

Super thanks for the helpful feedback :) For the fun stuff I was almost positive I would need some sort of a controller to get that effect, but I can't do that until after I get the fluid up a screw first ;) $500 isn't bad at all, would that get me a similar solution to the meat grinder example?
