You must be smoking some good stuff. I saw him almost get blocked by the backboard on an alleyoop attempt against Clemson. It was a perfect pass and all he could do was lay it off the glass. I don't see him cutting it in Big Ten play. You need to stop drinking all the Illini Kool Aid.

No athletic ability? You obviously have no idea who Mike Davis is... He can sky like few 6'9" guys I've ever seen. He is a Tyrus Thomas type leaper.

OK, I can respect that opinion. That's a fair assesment for the most part. I'm not a beleiver in Davis though. The kid has some good numbers so far but he's 6'10" and plays like he's 6'4". He has very little athletic ability. I'll be curious to see how he does once the B10 season starts. McCamey can be good but he's inconsistent. He's one of 2 keys to them being succesful this year, the other being Legion and seeing if he's the real deal.

Look Illinois was terrible last year, are somewhat better this year, and the future is VERY bright.

I can't brag about the present, but I do have many realistic reasons to expect an Illini renaissance, and those reasons are listed in my previous post.

That and UI has a 6'10 soph averaging 14 & 8. McCamey's on his way too, just quite ain't there yet. Also only a soph.

The answer to your Weber question is they wouldn't. Weber has yet to develop a single good player. I'd like you to name just one of his recruits that has amounted to anything. He's had plenty of good recruits that all of the sudden aren't so good. There's only one person to blame, Weber. He's just lucky the Big Ten as a whole has been down the last couple of years or else he'd have a total of 4-5 Big Ten wins in that time period.

I've heard that before. I heard the same thing about Gordon, Shire and others. Then they wised up. I'll listen to your argument when those guys step on the court with a Crying Illini jersey on. We'll see if this Legion guy is any good. He couldn't cut it at Kentucky so I'm skeptical he can be anythign in the Big Ten. All the Illini fans think he's the saviour. I hope he's not another Jamar Smith, Brian Carlwell, etc.
