The truly wonderful Andy Hallett, in person at the Caxton Theatre Grimsby. Rogue Independence Events ran a series of events known as Slayerfest to raise funds to install a lift for disabled patrons to gain access to the main auditorium at the Caxton Theatre. The theatre is run as a charity and the events were all run by volunteers and staffed primarily by youth theatre members. Thanks to Sean Harry of Starfury Events, Andy Hallett was the last of a series of great guests having had to cancel a year earlier due to seriously ill health. This recording remains one of my favourite possessions and gives me so much pleasure. Andy Hallett was a madman and loved by everyone. His passing saddens me and continues to do so every time I think about him. I am releasing this film on YouTube for everyone to continue to get pleasure from the man and his love of life. I don't ask for payment for this film but you might consider making a donation to the British Heart Foundation in Andy's name http://www.bhf.org.uk/get-involved/donate.aspx We now have a lift which allows elderly and disabled patrons access to the arts. Thanks to evryone involved. RIP Andy Hallett.

  • It's borderline creeping me out to see him talking about his "old" heart problem surrounded by headstones. :(

  • @KrJtAngel whilst I can see where you're coming from, its also worth noting that Andy's mom and other members of his family have gained great comfort from being able to see this video and to share an evening with Andy. Its you worth persevering with it , despite any discomfort, because it continues to show the world what a great entertainer Andy was and how much we all miss him. That was why I decided to make it available for free on YouTube. He had previously given permission to sell this film.

  • This video made me smile big time cuz it reminded me of the fun times Andy gave us all at Conventions. It also made me cry while smiling since I miss im like crazy. Still cant believe he is gone. He was awesome and it helps his family to see that he is not just missed by them but also by all of us.

@WelshDarkDragon: Sean was right. One of Andy's best talks ever. :)

  • @WelshDarkDragon Oh that's not what I meant. I see nothing wrong with hosting it, I just meant that It was so sad to discover this now for me personally because I hadn't seen it before and never knew he had passed away until this year. So to know that he was gone and never have seen him talking about his heart problems was just a sad and eerie mix. for me.
