First time with floats, pretty fun. Now I need a boat in case of unexpected landings. Here's a link for the thread and plans I used to make the floats: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1392455

  • I used just a bit of scotch tape to secure the front wheels

  • @jestermj I thought about tape, but didnt know if it would let go if it got wet.

  • Is it easy to taxi around on the water?

  • @Conquest248 Yep, I havent had any problems. I wouldnt turn too sharply when at speed though, might catch and edge and tip over.

  • Cool! I just got one. So I may try that!

  • @Conquest248 Go for it, just make sure they're sealed up nice and tight!

  • I had no problems with it coming off, but could also use a small piece of thread.

  • @Conquest248 The tail side is held on with a bit of wire wrapped around the posts and fuselage. The wheel axles are currently glued in place till I can make a simple and secure quick release.

  • How did you put the floats on?

  • @ptstptwi Thanks! I made the floats from a set of plans at RCGroups.com. I'll put the link in the info bar.
