  • HA HA LOL. I've had the pleasure x dealing with the 1 & only 1 x these in Sydney, Australia. Lucky for me i had an EX Schindler Tech working for Me who knew his way around it. As I wouldn't touch it with A 40 Foot Pole.

On 1 occasion we had the whole group of "8" lifts go down & hundreds of people waiting for car service. To fix problem we had to call Schindler in to resolve software issues. We spent 2 days in the motor room with Schindler eating Pizza & washing it down with a few beers. Funny.

Next time don't forget to invite me! LOL..

  • It was always a good sign when the 80% run started.

  • @MovingStairs

    You are absolutely correct................

  • No problem. While it looks like the building you are working at was relatively low in height, an install of 50-odd stories would add 10 extra minutes to the procedure. Nice vids, BTW.

  • @iWysocki

Thank you for the compliment. It's all done on the fly. A little help from Hollywood would be great.....LOL........:)

Thanks again for that piece of useful information. Manuals are usually unavailable "disappeared" and mechanics rely on word of mouth, scraps of papers, notes, hit and miss etc. to become familiar with a piece of equipment. Sometimes prints are non existent and jump numbers are the only available source for troubleshooting. Consider yourself blessed for having been properly exposed to this equipment and thank you for sharing.

  • The car doesn't have to be at the top floor. It starts at the bottom floor by leveling slightly below the floor, then leveling in to the floor to set zero pulses. It then picks the brake to weigh an empty load, thereby calculating both minimum armature voltage needed with an empty car, as well as taking the feedback from the loadweigh system to discern what an empty car weighs at bottom. It only runs down as floor counts have been dumped when you initiated it at the top.

  • Thanks, Thanks serverdude1. I'll try to get some more out.

  • that is mad i love the 80s computer
