I teach a drawing class at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I had to share this awesome room with you, it's such a great place to draw. Plan a trip to a museum near your home and definitely take your sketchbook. Visit http://www.drawing-tutorials-online.com to get your member only weekly podcast to take along on your museum trip.

  • can you really film those ? just asking... usually they don't let us take pictures or bring cameras in galleries right ?

  • You can take pictures without a flash. It all about no flash. As for video?

  • Through the entire video, I was waiting for a guard to shout, "YOU THERE WITH THE CAMERA!"

  • I've been at the Met but I did probably miss this room, where is it located?

  • "a beautiful painting... just like a digital painting...°

    come on, man .

  • I love those paintings and sculptures in the video. Could you (or anyone else on here) tell me what the piece and artist for the painting which you said were good for hand poses? I really love that one.

  • Its great that you get so involved as a teacher and do all those videos and stuf. Most teachers just go in and out and get paid but you really care for your students and what you do. I wish some day all teachers in all subjects are as caring as you.

  • where in the MET is this room? i looked so hard for this room but couldnt find it. i even asked a bunch of diffrent gaurds and they had no idea where the room with master paintings and sculptures behind glass was

  • How come there seems to be a NO FLASH law?

  • Thanks for sharing

  • I still don't understand that...was that Picasso on the ground?!?

But it is true: the really old and valuable work protected by glass in not that bad.

  • Of course it's just the one room but hey look at the Picasso that just got damaged cause some stupid girl tripped into it.

  • Painins in the Met. are beautiful. But my drawlins of these masterpieces are not.
