How to Download GIMP and get FREE brushes!

This is a quick vid on how to get GIMP 2.0 and install then how to download brushes and install them to it too
But lately GIMP have updated there download and fixed things etc. So if you want to download the latest GIMP then here's the link

My computer don't dowload them, it just goes straight in to the map with the brushes. Then next, what do I do? where do I put the brushes? I have not downloaded the bushes, I have googel crome, so they just go down and put them selves on the line so I dobbelclicked and I got straight in to the map whit the brushes. What do I do next ? :)

@Happyfivefriends map? Do you mean Winrar opened straight away with them?

If so you have to highlight the brushes' folder and click Extract to. Extract the folder to your desktop. Then open My Computer (XP) or Computer (Vista & 7) and go to Program Files > GIMP > bin. Then check all these folders until you find a folder called brushes. Once in there just open the folder on your desktop and drag the brush files into the Brushes folder you just opened.

cant see a thing your doing when you came to the brushes part why didnt you type in the text box what to click on? instead of typeing arggg all the time :S to blury and fast to see what your clicking on

Lol sorry man called my dodgy editing for u =P I may do another video with better speed etc. and i would obviously do better to see and do instructions. Forgive me as this was over a Year ago =P and I was a veteran tutorial maker.

i did that but there was a problem.....the brushes i've gotten dont show color! it only has black

@TDIshakes the brushes only appear one color, you have to change the brush color to get it to change as that, then you can use gradients on the layer as you may want to. Pretty easy

did u make sure u put them in the right file?

coz it they have to be in the Brushes file it wont work if there any other files

umm i'm still haven't problems i have extact the files and i check my gimp it still isn't there :(

ye u gotta use the color panel in between the brush settings and the mode settings the top one is the Fg (Foreground) and the bottom color is the Bg (Background)

u can either double click the color itself or press the color panel button
