@Drdump1, an even better and cheaper idea than using a front generator to charge the batteries is to fit a sprocket on the front hub and connect that chain to the rear hub. I've noticed that whenever I'm riding, the front wheel is turning and wasting all that free energy. Why not just connect it to the drive wheel and sit back 'n relax. My prototype works so far, but only downhill. I just have to make some adjustments to the tire pressure, the local gravity and my psychotropic medication.

Why is that, did you notice any differences? I was thinking about lipo but are hazardous and difficult to charge. If I bought 8 packs of 6s lipo I have to charge each pack separately....yes lipo are lighter and better than lifepo4 but maybe you don't need the discharge power of lipo.

If you like bicycle trails with bridges, check out the Illinois Prairie Path system, running in the Chicago suburban area. We have hundreds of miles of bicycle trails that are made on old railroad tracks, so they have many, many bridges and tunnels for crossing roads. They are also surrounded by trees in many places that block the wind, and give you shade. And because they are old train tracks, they have fairly even grade, and are mostly straight.
oh i definitely need the LIPO power...theres never enough power. Thats the first thing you'll realize with EV's.
yes LIPO is lighter and just about everyone that used lipo dont use a BMS..they just use a Low volt alarm so you know when you charge. and you can bulk charge LIPO with a simple powersupply...and just balance charge them once and a while.
also if you buy LIPO buy all the same cell count (ex 4 x 5cell packs = 36v in 2s2p configuration)

Are you happy with your LiFePo4 pack or you prefer more the LiPo? I wonder if I didn't did a mistake ordering a 60v 20A LiFePo4 battery pack from China and maybe should I bought LiPo instead? I have 180pounds, how fast do you think I will go with the 60v 20a battery and what will be the range on a virtually flat ground?

@Vaporcartel back when i made this video...i was unsure/unaware of the differences in lithium chemistry's
so i ended up selling the LIPO battery and keeping the Lifepo4...although if i knew what i know now...i would have kept the LIPO
