@sihskaiekkcm except they're not replacing Sheploo, they're putting both of them on the collector's edition cover, one on each side. And dude in the video gets it wrong when he says they're putting her on the front. They haven't announced that... and she'll probably end up on the back.

@SwobyJ Well, in the end, in doesn't matter. What I meant is: Male Shepard was an icon, and this guy said the female one would replace the Male Shepard on the Collector's Edition. But I played as femShep in both games (ME1 and ME2) so I'll have a save for ME2 to import in ME3 with both sexes.

@sihskaiekkcm Wait, you think she is going to be on the cover, or on the front cover? Because she's not going on the front cover. Maleshep will be on the front cover, with Femshep being on the back, where the Collector was in the ME2 Collector's Edition.

@SwobyJ Out of 83% that customized their male Shepard in at least some way... Which makes it 18% of all players that choose to play as the female Shepard -- customized & not.

My point? Don't randomly add a random ginger on the cover that isn't even remotely connected to the game.. Apart from the suit.. Besides, the Male Shepard's badass.

Having all that said, they aren't exactly "replacing" the male Shepard, so idc... And wouldn't really bother too much if they did.

@JamesBondHero DefaultShep is already claimed to simply be the easy way for them to market the game - using dozens of different male and female characters for Shep in marketing would be silly. Because of fan outcry and petitioning, they have been convinced to *include* FemShep in the marketing a little.

MaleShep will still be at the front of the cover - FemShep will be at the back of the Collector's cover where the Collector was in ME2's cover.

@JamesBondHero Shapard is whoever you have the choice for him to be. He can be black, he can be white. He can be with Jack, or he can get into a same-sex relation with a male character in ME3. She can be female and with an asari, or female and with Kaiden. He can save the council, or hold back to preserve the human fleet. He can shoot people, or talk them down.

This is the roleplaying in Mass Effect, and whatever you say won't change that.
