Answering Machine Prank - when the mother-in-law keeps calling

If someone pesty keeps on calling and you're tired of pointless conversations day in and day out where there's nothing new to say, leave strange greetings on your answering machine. My wife agreed to let me do this, since she feels smothered by her mother's constant calling everyday.

Aw, thanks. :) The blue for the fish tank is a few drops of blue food coloring. Harmless to the fish. Gives it that deep sea look.

Wow. What an annoying mother-in-law. What happens when you pick up the phone the first time she calls? Could you talk the lady into setting pleasant "phone dates" to chat it up with her daughter (hopefully not daily)? I hate the "what if it was an emerg." bit too. Usually it's not. If it is, then eventually you'd get the message of whatever family situation came up. I'd probably cancel at least half of my phone service so she wouldn't have so many numbers to call. lol

Karma is the biggest *itch of all, empathy has no limits. I really pray that you learn to cherish your greatest advocates one day. Especially so that when you become the one calling they understand your intentions without needing to learn this life lesson.
