My boxer has this! He's 7 months. Will it hurt him do you know?

@Integrity0095 Its like pneumonia for dogs. They will mope a round, possibly with fever for a few days but should be ok. My vet just gave her some antibiotics and it cleared up in around a week.

@joshcoa I took my puppy to get her first vaccinations and she came home with kennel cough. I was pissed. She started sneezing and coughing like crazy.  She got infected at the vet. They don't seem to decontaminate their equipment after using it with other dogs. How disgusting! I'm reluctant to bring my dog there for her second vaccinations.

@LaoSoftware kennel cough is extremely contagious and can spread through the air. my vet asked me to take her back to the car and he gave her a shot outside. he said just having her in the building could infect the whole office. while this can happen anywhere but i will never take her back to the place where she caught it. plus i get her a bordetella shot every 6 months now instead of 12.

we found our dog and gave him to a friend who we thought would take care of him. but when we got him back he ducks every time you go to pet him like hes been beat and he has kennel cough.

my 10week old frenchie has this. He's so tiny I'm so worried about him. He was at the vet and was given antibiotics, but I'm still worried about him.

And since its super contagious, I have to worry that my other dog will get it too. :(
