This new american fascination for the Nurburgring is just silly. Now every playstation teen think they are a fucking expert. Fact is USA never cared about the Nurburgring or the damn Guiness book of records until all their car companies died recently. Now they are desperate for attention and to Euro-validate their cars because american hype carries no validity on its own.

Why is everyone comparing 1/4 mile, 0-60, and top speed? There are more to car's then straight line performance. This is what the Ford GT is. Look at the roads he was driving on, lots of corners, and tight bends where handling is important. If anything compare lateral G's.

Im a ford guy but i have to had it to the ZR1 because have the fastest lap times at the Nurburgring is quite impressive. id still own a Ford GT over a Zr, but Chevy did make an impressive car.

Car and Driver says 0-60 in 3.3 seconds. Some people claim to have gotten their GTs to 218.

the z06 is not faster than the ford gt the zr1 is faster but the ford gt has a higher top speed of 212mph and the zr1 has a top speed of 205mph

Thats not true. A ZR-1 is faster than a Ford GT. But a Ford GT is faster than a ZO6. The Ford GT has a faster 0 to 60 time, and it gets to 200mph quicker as well as has a faster nurburgring track time.
