Halloween - Haunted House - 2011

This is a brief tour of our Haunted House for 2011, which we set up in our garage for the fourth year running! We took this video on our opening weekend (the week before Halloween).

This year our big builds were the MadSci2000 effects box for the scientist and the Tell-Tale Heart floorboard effect (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vz_3TC-joOo).

The black light room wasn't as much work, but we had fun going all Jackson Pollock on the walls with neon paint. We also built a number of gizmos and artifacts for our costumes and for interacting with guests.

We had a couple of people ask about our bottomless pit from previous years. We didn't have the bottomless pit this year, but instead used parts for the mirror that turns into the scary mask. The bottomless pit was our "coolest" prop, but the transparent mirror has been our scariest. (The video just can't do it justice.)
