Tashi Cops an Attitude: 4 Years, 1 Month Old

See? Always with the barking and the attitude in hallways. She did it when she was nine weeks old ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qeo6d_H6Rwc ) and she's still doing it now.

The problem with her eyes is because of a skin infection she's been fighting for some months---we're going to a specialist at University of Pennsylvania's vet school this week, so cross your fingers for us.

Update, months later: that skin infection she supposedly had was a misdiagnosis. She really has Zinc-Responsive Dermatosis, a hereditary inability to digest needed dietary zinc that exists almost exclusively in Siberian Huskies and causes crusty skin lesions. Dr. Dan Morris in Dermatology at Ryan Veterinary Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania was an absolute godsend, so patient and persistent in diagnosing her and then finding the right medications and supplements to keep it under control. She's all better now, although she may never stop being resentful about having stuff smeared on her face and a pill stuck down her throat every night!

uh no i'm pretty sure they dog sees her as the "alpha" did u not see the wagging tail when tashi was barking, its called playing not a challenge of authority. and the dogs would plainly not listen to her if they did not respect her authority, which you can plainly see in the polite vid. u fail

Michelle,I have watched all of the video's, and I cannot believe that anyone would think that Tashi and Polar are not well behaved and loving members of your family.Its obvious that they are healthy, disciplined and well trained,(cats included). My favorite video is the one titled "Polite Huskies & Begging Cat". I look forward to future vid's of "Tashi and Polar". Thankyou.

Wow I thought just my dog did that and he's a Rat-Chi [Rat Terrier/Chihuahua] but only does it with certain people. Just my mom and dad but I get the three heads look if I try and I'm the owner LoL Does she just play bark with you?

Sry to disagree but "Alpha" is no myth. Wolves really have well developed hierarchy and there is a specific place for everyone in that system. In the top of the system is "Alpha pair", which are the leaders of the pack and the only pair who have the permission to produce puppies in a pack.

lol you gotta love people who watch that show and think they know everything. Here's a clue people.....there's a lot of editing to that show and if you notice he only deals with easy breeds. Believe it or not touching a dogs neck 3 times and saying "shhh" doesn't work lol.

The "Alpha" thing is a myth. Wolves only pack up to hunt bigger animals, when they live near humans they don't ever pack up. But then again...Cesar never went to college to study animal behavior.
