HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL WALK-OUT: SAVE OUR SCHOOLS

Students from Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, one of the top public schools in the city, walked out on Friday, March 18th to protest CA State budget cuts effecting their magnet programs and other programs at the school. This video was made by two Hamilton High School Moms, Amie Williams and Maria Bozzi, who have sons in the Music Academy and Humanities Magnet.

I WENT TO HAMI IN 1992, ONLY FOR 2 YEARS COUSE I HAD A BABY, BUT DOES WERE SOME OF MY BEST YEARS, LEADERS COME FROM THAT SCHOOL PEOPLE WHO DONT GIVE UP,,SO KIDS NOT STOP IF ONE COULD MAKE A DIFFENCE, TWO COULD MAKE A CHANGE AND 3 COULD RIPPLE THE DIFFENCE INTO A CHANGE THAT COULD NOT BE BROKEND...ONLY KIDS WITH MINDS LIKE HAMIS STUDENTS COULD UNDERSTAND THIS COUSE THERE SOUL IS MOVED MY MELODI THAT SPRINGS LIKE MUSIC TO THERE EARS ,,,,,,LOVE THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!!

@carltonbauheimer we missed one period. and a lot of these kids are good kids who turn in their work and are very responsible. we just wanted to have our voices heard. we didnt trash anything we never cameoff the sidewalk we did what we set out to do which was protest.

pft. these kids didn't walk out of school to protest anything. they walked out of school so they wouldn't have to go to school, take tests, or hand in their homework. give me a break. I hate it when people take kids being slackers and try to turn it into some sort of political activism to suit their own ends.
