Killzone 2 - Final Boss Fight; Radec - Elite Difficulty - Part 2/2

This is, by far, the most difficult fight in the entire game. Part of the final Visari Palace mission, the fight spans 3 checkpoints prior to the 4th one where you finally face off against Radec. The second checkpoint is the one that will make you squeeze blood from underneith your nails, though hopefully my amateuristic antics will help you a little.

I've decided to make this video a separate entry from Visari Palace, considering its length and difficulty, not to mention importance and request. For the Visari Palace chapter walkthrough, please go to:

Stay distant, use cover, take your time and keep looking around you to prevent flanking. Your knife, surprisingly, is a beast, and will help you out tremendously. Either take it up close and personal, or stay as far away as possible. Don't stay in medium range, because you will lose.

The LMG you start with is the perfect weapon when fired in bursts, and the Grenade Launcher is a happy alternative once ammo runs low. You'll need the grenade launcher for the RPG enemies later, so don't spill all the grenades instantly. Speaking of grenades, the hand-held kinds are perfect for stirring up trouble and taking out clusters. Stay on the move, but keep an iron blanket going.

The actual final boss, Radec, is easily disposed of when you take him hand to hand with the knife. He's at his strongest when he's in medium and long range, so get in his face and show him why you made it this far already.

Hey, thanks for the vid. Your final strategy for Radec was risky, but it paid off in the end. it took a few tries because sometimes Radec would bug out and start teleporting all over the place, and sometimes Rico would damage him too much sending Radec into gun mode. Eventually I got him down. 4 episodes of Slice+Dice and he ran away like a baby.

Pro-tip, you can "break" Radec's AI if you spray him with the flamethrower. He becomes constantly visible because of the flames and he screams and stops shooting at you as well. Just make sure the flames don't die down and you can shoot him with your M4 with complete impunity.
