I WILL NO LONGER BE APPROVING ANY ABUSIVE, NEGATIVE OR ARGUMENTATIVE COMMENTS SO DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME LEAVING THEM. This video is a direct response to my first Fennec video and for those who wanted to see a Fennec's aggressive behaviors. It is graphic. If you are offended by this type of video, don't watch it. The video was filmed in my bathroom with newspapers on the floor so the blood would be easier to clean up. Live prey is fed to her on a random basis. No schedule to it. The totality of her diet consists of Innova Evo cat food, http://www.evopet.com/products/default.asp?id=1500 , Solid Gold cat food, http://www.solidgoldhealth.com/products/showproduct.php?id=4&code=130 , fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, boiled eggs, and live prey including mice, crickets, mealworms, local beetles of all forms, local reptiles (usually caught by my cats and brought inside live), and soon to be incorporated are feeder fish, chicks and quail. All comments will have to be approved by me. You can go to http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/animals/printable/fennec-fox.html to see a small fact sheet about Fennecs. • My fennec fox always flips the mouse i give her all the time kills it first then plays whit it then comes over to me and eats the mouse right by me if i move she stops eating picks the mouse up and follows is that normal i thought they dont like to be near anyone when they eat?

  • @malito0827 Every fennec is different. Yours may feel obligated to eat near you for some reason.

  • is she just being food aggressive or is that her way of saying shes happy?

  • @control177 A litle of both. It's kind of a "mine, mine, mine" thing.

  • I personally don't mind people feeding their animals mice (when I had my snake I fed him live), but do bear in mind it would be better to feed her thawed mice rather than live. Unless you breed them yourself, you never know when the mouse could be carrying disease. Conditions in pet stores aren't exactly ideal. The mouse could also bite her and that could become infected. Just food for thought. Keyah is cute and you obviously take good care of her.

  • @Alyzuh Thanks. I don't like frozen mice because most are gassed with poison to kill them. I "thump" the live ones so they can't bite her. :)

  • @Gemthehedgehog He recorded it to show people a fennecs aggresive behavior as he said in the description, and tame ones( please note i said tame NOT domesticated just to stop forum ragers before they respond :P) normally live on dog / cat food and have a mouse as a rare treat now and then.

  • @iluvguineapigz hhahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Why are people so offended? If you don't like the idea of a animal eating another animal... then don't fucking click on the video! Fucking simple! Plus, there are lots of videos out on discovery of snakes eating other animals, wolves hunting down and eating caribou... fucking grow up

  • I know this isn't meant to be really too enjoyable, but I'm used to this. I thought this was pretty amazing to see a fennec enjoying a little snack. I love fennec foxes, and it's so amazing to watch them whether it's gross and bloody (like killing fresh food) or cute and playful (like an owner keeping their pet happy). Thank YOU for posting it!

  • I'm impressed by how much of a clean eater it is, I expected it to be more graphic and messy but amazingly its very clean.

  • awww, what a fatty! =) too cute!

  • Thank you for uploading this video! Your little fennec is so adorable, and it's good to see her senses aren't being dulled by not being allowed to catch and kill live food.

It's pretty sad that people don't understand things like bugs and live rodents are a naturally part of the fennec diet in the wild, so it only fits to allow them to eat what they would be used to.

This is just a part of nature, even if little Keyah is in a domestic home.

Kudos to you Mr. Zilla, Kudos.
