A rather wet event at Aintree and I made a mess of sorting out tyres and ended up running my well worn road tyres. Worn tyres, no lsd, raining hard, should have been a recipe for disaster...but after a cautious first session finding out how the car reacted it came good in the end! Followed another Saab enthusiast in a EMS Rally car, Birdie decided to see how slippery the grass was with interesting results....well caught! Came across a Ultima GTR struggling......large tyres, lots of water equals no grip!!
