In this clip from www.artistshousemusic.org - Giora Breil, Senior Vice President of E Musica, discusses how his company approaches digitizing old masters. Music, he believes, portrays the culture. Thus, the quality of the remastered old music is their number one objective. Since a new generation of listeners may not know much about the artist, his company creates more detailed CD inserts with liner notes and photos. Packaging the product at a reasonable price is also one of the goals of the company.
Interesting stuff - "Quality is the #1 priority" Perhaps, but there is a lot of music around that seems to contradict that.Someone I know sings "Perfection lies in all you see. But I can't let it carry me." I think that's right.
