what would you say wins... just for the low light capabilities ?

@silverlithomes Its like color correcting... but this way it adds more contrast to the picture. easy way to hide the noise in the shadows.

Nice, going to pick up an A77 when there in stock at B&H. Have you had a chance to use any Voigtlander lenses on the A77. Thinking about the ultron 40mm or the nokton 58mm. Any thoughts? Want to use them for vid as well. Thanks.

@raredreamfootage Nikon guy all the way, everyday in everyway. However, I'm seeing the wisdom in utilizing something other than to do video. So, this is good to see real world comparisons. My eye consistently was more pleased with what I saw in the Sony. As I do not have a preference, I was able to look at it without prejudice. Glad I found this.

Sorry, but what the hell is grading????

What the H are you talking about, nothing beats 5d mark 2

@NIKONGUY1960 Well it is a newer camera, I'll wait for the 5D Mark III to see what Canon will bring out.

@mike24p Thank you!
Why did you keep going up to ISO 6400 with the 5D2 and make comparisons with the A77 at ISO 1600? You only tested high ISO with the Canon.

@MandrakeCigars the A77 only goes to ISO 1600 in video mode, it is interesting to see how well it holds up towards the higher ISO settings on the Canon, all explained on my blog, link below the video
