What kind of doll head is that? Cause I have a resin doll and i am not sure if this method would ruin her. Also is their a chance the hot glue coming off and ruining your doll ?

I think you got the right idea, yes.. slit the bag for the ears to go in.
I would do a demo with my BBB Ariel-but I recently sanded down her ears.
