Speaker Test - Nokia N97 vs Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

This is a quick speaker test to show the difference between the internal speaker playback on the N97 vs the 5800 XM. This was recorded with a Nokia E90, and as such some of the low end was lost from the 5800. The difference in sound dynamics is quite apparent, though, and the 5800 can more accurately reproduce music whereas the N97 loses pretty much all of the low-end. Though, the N97 is not prone to distort like the 5800 XM does at louder volumes.

Both phones are set to default audio settings. "Stereo Widening" and "Loudness" are both disabled and the Equalizer is set to "Default". Even with Loudness on, and Bass Boost selected from the EQ, the N97 cannot reproduce that bass with the internal speakers.

Must Read! I got the trick to increase the volume and sound quality..!!!

Its easy... already tested on nokia x6...

Steps: got to software update, (it will give u music player update) instal the music player update, restart, go to OVI store and instal app called Decibel. don't open it until this: go to music player and play any song. the go to decibel. u will see ur phone is louder, then don't exit and dn't stop music. just go to menu> settings > app MGR. and uninstall decibel. DONE!

5800 sound is lower quality tha n97, i have an n97 and i compared with my friend 5800: N97 Wins (again)

That "XpressMusic" doesn't mean it's sooo much better. N97 is really great. And, @wolf39if do you have an N97? Well get one and say that... And don't tell even think about telling me that 5800 is better when using headphones...The volume isn't big but the quality is great. P.S. Just listening to N97..
