Memory wouldnt be much of a problem if you prefer usb's that store maybe 8 or more gig's

Everyone who's going on about the 'wasted space': You can buy mods for the EeePC, that fill up that space behind the grill.
The laptop /does/ get hot, actually. Hotter than other machines, because it's small and can't conduct heat to other parts too well.
And the Linux Lover should take note: The startup time is comparable to within half a second, and that's without a modded boot.ini or nLite-ing the XP installation to make it faster.

yes it can, but it doesn't load as fast as Linux when you turn it on.

Theyre coming out with a 10inch on the same formfactor before xmas I've heard. Should have same price.

linx will porbobly reconise it, but if its formated with NTFS or HFS it will probobly not mount, but do not take my word for it..

well, if you look at all the "wasted" space, you will hopefully see, that this "wasted" space is ocupied by the speakers :)
