In this Video i show that its possible to run OS 10.5.8 on a 2007 Medion MD96144 laptop, with FULL QE/CI (Quartz Extreme and Core Image)... it took me a while to have the ATI Radeon Mobility X1600 running fully....
Don't waste your time with Snow Lepoard, the ATI Mobility X1600 wont work fully, and you wond be able to install some program...
I support Apple, i love their philosophy, i own couple macs at home and also bought the retail DVD of leopard and snow leopard but didn't want to put my old laptop to the garbage.
It as a beautiful LCD LG 1440x900 and still works really well... Only issue is that so far i think its impossible to upgrade the RAM, 2gb is the max supported bu the motherboard.... and the fan is a bit noisy like any non mac laptop from 2007
Feel free to email me any question.
If you like mac buy their beautiful product and software... they deserve our support for all of their hard work!!!
Cheers!
PS : i also added a 1tb western digital instead of the DVD
