Where exactly in the rule book does it permit hitting officials and/or restrained opponents and offensive gestures in plain view of children? I guess I must have missed that one. Thank you for your well thought out and intellectual rebuttal to my comment. I'm glad I know longer have to continue down the path of ignorance.

Mascioli is the biggest jerk in the O. I remember his antics in Belleville last year in Game 6. Piece of work.

See ya in a few months, Mascioli. That will be a nice little suspension. If he has a saving grace, it's that this camera angle doesn't really show him punching the linesman. Having said that, taking out a defenseless, restrained opponent and then flipping off the cameras is a good way to get sent home for a pile of games.
Linesmen should get a stern talking too...they both went after Carnovale and left him completely vulnerable. Ridiculous.
