Baby Snapping Turtle

Just trying to get info on the turtle and what to get and do. I made this video for people who have baby snapping turtels and have no clue what to do like me.

hey do snappers ever need to bask?cuz mines always in water exept when i take him out to clean the tank....should i make something that goes above the water

um. i would say give it to a zoo something of that nature. Or you could just give it away to someone who would care for it like a friend, sell it but that might be illegal like where i live.....do what u think is best

he will get active, mine wasnt that active at first. you can put alittle more water then that, what do u keep him in? and well i hope you turn the light off at night. they do shed in water mine sheds alot and u dont need the filter as long as u change the water more often

for starters you need a back ground for your tank so he doesn feel out in the open then you can get him to eat some freez dried meal worms then leave the light on during the night and he will eat thats what mine does and get him some buddys like some painters because they act well together like mine make shure the painters are babys so they are not able to bully him

my baby snapping turtle eats little very little shrimp and chicken and groung turkey but he love the strawberrys

@Sportzkid1010 its probably best not to let it go becuz it wont be able to fend for itself as well in the wild so giving it to a pet store or friend is better

@Sportzkid1010 you should have a basking spot so the the turtle can bask because basking is essential for proper digestion and growth and it regulates body temperature

@Sportzkid1010 i feed my turtles regular turtle food like pellets every day giving it crickets as a weekly snack....they can be offered mice or rats every month tho
