  • was the extra $170 for VC worth it?

  • @taffybuttocks it really helps..

  • @shootthephoneco Reviewers say that the VC version has bad sharpness at 2.8. What were your experiences.

  • @BramowitchIII not that sharp at 2.8. Usable, but not great.

  • wow that autofocus was SLOW :P

    I have a 50mm 1.4

and cant get to decide if I want to pay double for

    a canon usm verion...

  • @motu828mk2 the focus is no slower than a canon NON usm

  • @taffybuttocks sharpness is almost equal should be, but thing is u can take pictures in darker places with VC which really should help, not mentioning VC for video

  • have 60d. working hard to get this tamron hehe

  • @MrXalan Constant as in you CAN go to ƒ/2.8 between the focal lengths of 17-55 lol. You can change it to whatever you want

  • @showstaz what do you mean by constant 2.8 f stop ? does it mean it will only stay at f2.8 and we cannot increase or decrease ? i am so eager to get a prime lens canon 1.8 50mm.

  • @MrXalan i'm no expert and i'm very new to DSLR photography but my money would be on the aperture (f value) that the tamron enables him to go to .....

  • After one year with the 60d and the Tamron? Are you still satisfied? How about an experinece report? I am thinking about buying the 60D or the Nikon D7000. But I think I stick with the Canon I already own two lenses.

  • @BramowitchIII IT SHOULD

it has one lens more and im sure its not a SP or EX line optics

  • @taffybuttocks

what do you think 50mm needs VC even for APS-C ?

does one added lens Improves image quality or contrary ?

  • @MrXalan it because the highest f stop you can shoot with the 18-55 is 3.5. with the 17-55 being a constant 2.8, it lets in a lot more light which allows you to shoot at a lower iso and use faster shutter speeds to capture a photo

  • @shootthephoneco i cant decide... but thanks for posting this video man. : )
