@DeusImperatorHominum It was the USA who pressured Turkey in an attempt to find the fates of some of the missing Cypriots. It is just not feasable for the USA to go and start wars with every single country that pisses us off and I don't know why the world expects us to. Why should the US have to babysit the world? Let countries take care of their own problems and their own wars.

Ah, yeah sure, whatever. You just go on ahead and believe that there.... It is funny how the USA and its allies always raise a voice of outcry whenever a regime like Iran or North Korea are against their policies, but whenever such allied NATO nations as Turkey commit injusticies, the USA sits back and just says, "This is bad, but oh well....," and forgets about it thereafter. That said, Turkey has suffered greatly for making such a decision...though the future stays open still.

Kissinger is one of the worst war criminals in the world; the fat that he has never been prosecuted is a disgrace.

the description is wrong. there was no such blessing. On the contrary, Turkey suffered consequences because of the lack of this "blessing"

"When we were trying to convince Turkey to allow the passage of our troops through its territory in Northern Iraq, we gave Turkey two motives: several billion dollars in the form of donations and loans and Cyprus in the form of the Annan plan."
Daniel Fried (member of the National Security Council and special advisor to President Bush), 26 June 2004
