Judas Priest are an English heavy metal band from Birmingham, formed in 1969. Judas Priest's core line-up consists of bass player Ian Hill, vocalist Rob Halford and guitarists Glenn Tipton and K. K. Downing. The band has gone through several drummers, though Scott Travis has held the position since 1989. They have been cited as an influence on many heavy metal musicians and bands. Their popularity and status as one of the definitive heavy metal bands has earned them the nickname "Metal Gods" from their song of the same name. They have sold over 35 million albums worldwide.

When I'm far away
And I can't get through
Wherever I roam
Keeps bringing me back to you

Holding on to hope
There's no need to fear
Wherever I roam
This piece of home
Keeps telling you that I'm near

So lift up your heart
Cause the brave will always come through
While we're apart
We will raise the red, white and blue

When I stand alone
Without you by my side
I think of all
That you stand for
It fills me up with pride

Reaching out to you
Across mountains, sea and sky
I think of all
That you stand for
And hope will never die

Now I'm coming home again
I'm coming home to you
And as I roam
This piece of home
Has brought me back to you

  • @blackNwhite2008 Ian Hill is a great bass player. Though I agree that maidens is better.

And @MrMACALPINE Iron Maiden and Metallica both are great bands. AND STOP THE F*CKING CAPS.

  • Actually Nostradamus is not album, its masterpiece. There is a huge difference.

  • Maiden and Priest are better than each other! Now, please everyone who wants to argue that go jump off the nearest bridge.

Cool song, never heard it before, thanks.

  • England

  • @smegweevil It's a bonus track that came on the 2001 remaster issue off 'British Steel'

  • @Einfarhtfreihalten Um what the did you just say? English translation please.

  • @kornjubi Sorry but one album does not mean anything.

  • Wow! A Judas Priest song that I had never heard before. I have the British Steel album but this track is not on it. Is this off a special release?

    Thanks for posting.

  • @ECWExtremeist ;/ I think you are in a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig mistake. :) Just go and BUY Nostradamus and you will see that actually Maiden is pure...shit ;(

  • @ECWExtremeist

I had to break you neck . !

Judas are very much better than Maiden headfuck !

  • *sigh* Why do people always fight over what Metal band is better? It is a matter of preferance. Some people like Iron Maiden, some like Judas Priest, some like R.E.M or whatever other band they like. to me they might as well be all the same band because they are all great bands in thier own way, and they are all Metal. Lets celebrate the diversity of Metal and Rock instead of insulting it! Rap and Pop fans don't know what they are missing. :P
