  • It makes no difference if we use a big stick or a nuclear weapon, our agressive overseas behavior creates the need for weapons other than defensive. Obama has increased our military involvement despite election promises to bring the troops home. We create our own enemies and need to re-think who we are as nation. War is good for the San Diego economy but little else...

    Yes I remember. Perhaps that's why they started messing with Pakistan.

  • Recently, especially under the Bush admin, the United States has spoken (quite readily!) of using nukes not only offensively, but even preemptively.

  • nuclear weapons have not stopped conventional war because nobody is mad enough to use them. This is why we have wars all over the globe still.
