BTR(RUSSIAN ARMOURED PERSONNEL CARRIER)

The Soviets based the BTR-80 on the BTR-70 APC. It has a 260-hp, V-8 turbocharged, water-cooled, diesel engine. The reconfigured rear portion of the hull accommodates a new, single engine. The Soviets removed the roof chamfers of the modified BTR-70, raised the rear, and squared off the rearward-sloping engine compartment. Standard equipment include TNPO vision blocks, optical devices TNP-B and TKN-3 for the driver and commander, an OU-3GA2M infra-red search light, six 81mm smoke grenade launchers 902V "Tucha", a radioset (R-173 or R-163-50U), an intercom and hydrojets.

Well in APC Tecnology Yes,But Since the Cold War,The Russians Haven't made any new tank,they are still using the T-90 with some atualizations,but today,The T-90 Sucks,He Can't face The M1A3 Abrams,The Challenger 2, the Markava Mark IV at never a Leopard 2a7 / 2a6.

Sorry Russians lose they place with better tank,just like the americans with the germans,In today days,the Leopard 2A6/A7 its the best MBT in the world,and the only one who have an 3 generation armor...
